Ganie further said that overall business is down by around 30-40 per cent, which is mainly the outcome of the bone chilling cold. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, another trader from Pulwama said that the bone-chilling temperatures have significantly shortened the business hours and business activity has declined by 40 to 45 percent. He said that though there was improvement in the temperature in the last two days but due to snowfall, the people continue to stay indoors, adding that a significant number of people visit Jammu and other places during winters, which also led to the decline in the business.
